About the Role

As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting young people aged 16–18+ living in semi-independent placements. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering structured key work sessions to promote life skills and support their transition into adulthood.
• Encouraging participation in education, employment, or training programmes.
• Providing support with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and attending appointments.
• Collaborating with local authorities and other health/social professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Creating a friendly and relaxed environment that fosters self-motivation, self-esteem, and respect.

What We Look For

We value individuals who demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to making a difference. While experience in working with young people is desirable, we also welcome applications from those who are eager to learn and grow within this role. Key requirements include:

• At least one year’s experience in a similar role (preferred).
• Willingness to work towards completing a QCF/NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Children).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to cover additional hours, including bank holidays and emergencies.
• A satisfactory Enhanced DBS reference.
